The Company is committed to the concepts contained in the New Privacy Legislation. This Policy outlines the obligations we have in managing the personal information we hold about our patients, contractors, employees and others.
Personal information collected.
The type of information we may collect and hold includes (but not limited to) personal information namely, name, contact details ie business address, telephone number and professional qualifications etc. and details of your business, practice and hospital. In addition to these personal details we record the details of our dealings with you ie details of medical inquiries, reports of adverse events, involvement in clinical trials, participation in sponsored programs or meetings and appointment with sales representative.
We will not collect other sensitive information about you without your consent ie personal information about health, race, political opinion etc.
However, if the company does not collect information about you, we will not be able to carry out the purpose listed below in relation to you or your business.
- Maintaining a record of medical queries, complaints and adverse events reports relating to a company products and reporting these to the relevant regulatory bodies as may be required;
- Sending you material of the company's activities and products or developments;
- Supply you with clinical samples of product;
- Administering clinical trials, disease awareness, expert panels, seminars or other meetings;
- Notifying you of matters that the company may be required to by law to notify you of, and
- Managing, planning and arranging meetings between you and the company's representative.
How this information will be collected
The company will collect information direct from you through face to face meetings, forms completed by you, interviews, business cards, telephone conversations and from third parties.
Information from our web site www.pharmasynth.com through inquiries and emails. We also use third parties to analyse traffic at that web site, which may involve the use of cookies. Information collected through such analysis is anonymous.
Who will this personal information be provided to?
The company will maintain control and be responsible for the security of personal information collected about you. We will not provide personal information about you to any third parties except:
- Where the company is under legal obligation to provide your personal information to a Regulatory Body ie TGA or FDA;
- Third parties engaged by the company to provide services in connection with the uses of personal information about you;
- To ensure continuity of supply to another company if the supply of a product or service has been transferred to that company, or
- If it is otherwise permitted or required by Law.
